Venture Verse

Building the identity and interface for a digital travel scrapbooking app

Venture Verse style guide cover

Overview

VentureVerse is a conceptual app that allows users to document their adventures through interactive digital scrapbooking. Our team created the entire brand from scratch, including voice, style, color, and interface. We used Figma to build both mobile and web walkthroughs of the app to demonstrate how the brand translates into user experience.

  • Crafted a brand identity featuring warm tones and playful typography
  • Created a full style guide and component library
  • Designed mobile and desktop UI flows using Figma

Reflection

Venture Verse began with the question: What if your memories could live somewhere more creative than your camera roll? From that spark, I worked with a team to shape every element of this conceptual app from moodboard to mission statement. I focused on designing a user experience that felt emotional, playful, and organized, blending storytelling with sleek interaction.

Our team started with a collaborative Pinterest board to set the tone: warm colors, soft edges, organic layouts, and plenty of whitespace. I built out the full brand guide and led the design of both the mobile and desktop versions using Figma. Every detail, from the custom category icons to the soft hover states, was chosen to reflect our core brand values: authenticity, creativity, inclusivity, and inspiration. You can read more about my thought process in this Medium post.

This project pushed me to think holistically about brand systems and user flow. It reminded me how much I love combining strategy, visuals, and storytelling to build something from the ground up, especially when that something helps people tell their own stories too.
